Civil Air Patrol (CAP)was founded on December 1, 1941 to insure
the continued existence of civilian hobby and sports aviation and the
continued Air Superiority of the United States during the war years
and after.
Today CAP continues to be a community asset as a humanitarian
and educational nonprofit organization that provides many
opportunities for youth and adults alike. CAP provides vital
assistance to Homeland Security operations and local Emergency
management agencies.
CAP's three main missions are Emergency Services, Aerospace
Education and Cadet Programs.
Membership is open to youth between the ages of 12 and 21. Adult
members must be at least 18 and will be subject to an FBI
